WHITE OAK KURA 12YO

A really interesting Japanese whisky from Okinawa that offers something a little different from the more traditional styles. Aged for 12 years in North American white oak casks, Kura delivers a beautifully smooth and mellow whisky with lovely notes of vanilla, caramel, honey and toasted oak. The palate is rich and rounded, with hints of dried fruit, gentle spice and a touch of citrus, leading into a long, warming finish.

What makes this one particularly interesting is its Okinawan heritage and the use of traditional black koji in its production. A wonderfully unique expression that shows just how diverse and exciting Japanese whisky can be.
