When we got on the blower with Carla to cook up the recipe for this beer, it was meant to be a 6.5% go-to hazy to balance out the release. Roll in some kid induced sleep deprivation and the highly attenuative Mango Madness strain and you get yourself a massive DDH DIPA, Wait, what? ?
This collab pushed us out of our comfort zone in terms of both ingredients and techniques, which is exactly what we love about working with Shapeshifter.
We went for huge mid-ferment additions of Azacca and Citra to get heaps of biotransformation then Krush, Peacharine and a sprinkle of Riwaka CRYO to round out the hop line-up.
This beer is THICC, maybe the thickest we’ve made? Oozing with ripe tropical and stonefruit character, it's another cracking collab in our birthday release. As always, the best beers are made on the fly.
