A really smart Gundagai Sangiovese with plenty of freshness and savoury character. Bright cherry and strawberry sit alongside rhubarb, dried herbs and a touch of thyme, giving it that classic Italian-inspired feel. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with fine fruit tannins and enough savoury texture to keep everything balanced and interesting.
What I like most is how approachable it is — fresh and juicy enough to enjoy on its own, but with enough structure and complexity to work beautifully with food. Another cracking alternative variety coming out of Gundagai, and a great example of just how well Sangiovese can perform there.
