This is the style of Sauvignon Blanc that put Marlborough on the world stage, but surprisingly, it’s a style you don’t see nearly as much anymore.
You get that unmistakable classic gooseberry character with a slightly herbaceous nose, which I love because it balances the big, bright tropical fruit salad flavours that have become typical of modern Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It’s fresh, vibrant and full of flavour without becoming overly fruity or sweet.
Although I’m not a huge Sauvignon Blanc drinker myself, you’ll pretty much always find a bottle of Sea Mist on hand at my house.
