This is one of the best value Cabernets on the market and a personal favourite. Classic Coonawarra characters of cassis, black cherry, plum and bay leaf come through beautifully, with subtle liquorice and well-judged oak adding extra depth. The palate is generous and fleshy, but still fresh and balanced, with fine sandy tannins giving it structure without making it hard work. A polished, modern Coonawarra Cabernet that drinks brilliantly now and still has enough substance to reward some time in the cellar.
