I love seeing Italian varieties thrive in Australia, and this Fiano from Clare Valley's Auburn subregion is a terrific example. Lovely aromas of ripe apple, subtle spice and a touch of flinty minerality lead into a beautifully textured palate of lemongrass, citrus and vibrant natural acidity.
There's plenty of flavour and complexity here, with a lovely richness balanced by a fresh, zesty finish. I really enjoy the texture and length of this wine. Another wonderful example of why Fiano is so well suited to our warmer Australian regions.
Delicious with seafood, grilled chicken or simply enjoyed on its own. A real favourite!
