A really interesting take on Nero d’Avola, with all the dark fruit you expect from the variety but plenty of savoury character as well. Dark cherry and forest berries lead into notes of dried herbs, liquorice, spice and a touch of earthy complexity.
The palate is generous and rounded, yet still juicy and fresh, with supple tannins giving the wine plenty of length. A great example of how well this Sicilian variety suits McLaren Vale.
