A rich, generous Rioja with plenty of character and a lovely balance between ripe fruit and savoury complexity. Black cherry, black raspberry and liquorice lead the way, with toasty French oak, leather, earth and spice adding depth without taking over. Being a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo really helps make the wine feel complete and well rounded, with each variety bringing something different to the table. The warmer Rioja Oriental fruit gives it plenty of weight and ripeness, while the old-vine Garnacha adds lift and personality. The tannins are ripe and slightly chewy, giving the wine a plush feel through the palate before finishing long, polished and just a little rustic. A really satisfying modern Rioja with great balance and completeness.
