Glenmorangie Original 12yo Whisky

Glenmorangie has always been one of my favourite distilleries, and The Original 12 Year Old is a great example of why.

It’s elegant, fresh and incredibly easy to drink, with that classic Glenmorangie style of citrus, peach, vanilla and soft floral notes. The extra time in oak gives the 12 Year Old a little more richness and depth, but it still keeps that lovely lightness and freshness that makes Glenmorangie so approachable.

On the palate there’s plenty of vanilla, orange, ripe stone fruit and a touch of honey, with a smooth, clean finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

For me, this is really the starting point for Glenmorangie. It gives you a great feel for the distillery’s house style and then leads you perfectly into their other cask expressions and finishes, where things start to get even more interesting.
