FLAMETREE EMBERS CHARDONNAY

A seriously impressive Margaret River Chardonnay for the money — at this price, it’s an absolute steal. Nectarine, pear and melon lead the way, with subtle honeysuckle and creamy lees notes adding extra depth. The palate has plenty of flavour and texture, with ripe tropical fruit, a touch of butterscotch and lovely weight from the extended lees contact. What I like most is that it still feels balanced and composed rather than overly rich. A cracking Margaret River Chardonnay that delivers well above its price point.
