A really appealing Grenache Blanc Viognier with plenty of freshness, but what I love most is the mouthfeel and length. Honeysuckle, fresh grape, peach and quince come through first, with a little grapefruit zest and faint anise adding extra interest. The palate has lovely volume and texture without feeling heavy, with the richness of the fruit balanced beautifully by bright acidity. It finishes long, lively and refreshing, and that combination of texture and length is what really makes this wine stand out for me. If you enjoy a good Australian Marsanne or Roussanne blend, then you’ll love this — similar texture and generosity, but with a little more floral lift and freshness
