Fast becoming one of our most popular Sauvignon Blancs, and it’s easy to see why. Ara has that classic Marlborough character, with ripe passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours, but there’s a little more weight and richness here than you get from some of the leaner styles.
The palate is fresh and nicely balanced, with bright acidity keeping the ripe fruit in check and a clean, dry finish that makes it seriously easy to drink. A very polished Sauvignon Blanc that delivers plenty of flavour without becoming over the top.
Ara is now part of Giesen Wine family, one of New Zealand’s best-known family-owned wineries. Although Giesen can give the brand some pedigree, it allpows Ara itself to remain focused on producing fresh, polished Marlborough wines with strong regional character particularly the Wairau Valley.
