A cracking Iberian-inspired blend from Main & Cherry, combining Grenache, Tempranillo and Touriga into a bright, juicy and seriously drinkable red. Raspberry, red cherry and blackberry lead the way, with blackcurrant, dried herbs and a touch of warm spice adding extra interest. The palate is plush and lively, with soft tannins, good fruit weight and enough freshness to keep you coming back for another glass. What I really like is that it has plenty of flavour without feeling heavy. It’s a great modern McLaren Vale red — vibrant, supple and perfect with tapas, pizza or slow-roasted lamb.
