This Grand Cru Champagne spends 5years on lees, most champagne hpuses spend 18months on lees. This extra time adds complexity and richness. If this was under a more famous label they would be charging 5 times this price.
‘A terrific champagne at a great price. Burnt-toast, cracked-yeast, hazelnut and nougat aromas, with a hint of almond or marzipan. The palate is full and smooth, balanced and generous, a tickle of sweetness adding richness before a clean, appetising finish.’ Huon Hooke – ‘Good Food Review’
CUPERLY House was founded in 1845. Initially located in Mourmelon-le-Petit, it was firstly a wines & spirits trading.
In the early 1900s, Robert CUPERLY began to acquire and to develop a vineyard in VERZY, flagship of the "Grand Cru" of the Montagne de Reims. He decided to create his own Champagne house and to focus on the development and the marketing of Champagne CUPERLY.
