Another great example of a European variety finding a real home here in Australia. Hither & Yon’s Greco has plenty of personality, with golden apple, pear, jasmine and a touch of ginger leading into a lovely waxy, textured palate.
There’s a subtle nutty, savoury edge, bright grapefruit acidity and a saline finish that keeps everything fresh and lively. It’s distinctive without being difficult, and a really interesting alternative to the usual white varieties. Another cracking southern Italian grape that seems perfectly suited to McLaren Vale.
