Predominantly Pinot Noir with Chardonnay, it shows ripe stone fruit, citrus and toasted brioche, with more complex notes of spice, nuts and a subtle smoky character developing underneath. The palate is beautifully structured and vinous, with fine bubbles, bright acidity and a long, mineral finish. What really sets it apart is the pedigree. Mailly is one of only 17 villages in Champagne with Grand Cru status, and all of the estate’s vineyards are located within the Grand Cru village of Mailly-Champagne on the Montagne de Reims. Being a Millésimé also means it is made from the fruit of a single exceptional vintage rather than a blend of different years, giving the wine even more individuality and depth.
