Hither & Yon do it again taking a great European variety and making it appear its natural home is McLaren Vale. This Malbec has plenty of personality, with generous blackberry, plum and blueberry fruit backed by violet, dried herbs, smoked nuts and a subtle earthy, iron-like edge.
It’s full-bodied without becoming heavy, with a juicy freshness through the middle and firm, savoury tannins giving the finish plenty of shape. A really characterful style, and another reminder of just how well these European varieties can adapt to McLaren Vale.
