When our mates at The Scratch Bar came at us for a grapefruit IPA, we knew just the trick. Cascade predominantly, as a first wort, kettle and DDH, lovingly supported by Citra and Columbus. Like Graham, Riwaka turned up late, just to give a dank stone fruit vibe. Finishing with grapefruit terpenes for that intense and unmistakeable aroma.
Grapefruit overload straight up, with some lemon, stonefruit and candied orange behind. The mouthfeel is full, helping to support the bitterness and leave an overall balanced impression. A saline body helps to bind it all together and let the grapefruit devolve into chaos.
