A bold, brooding Lagrein with plenty of personality. Ripe boysenberry and dark berry fruit give the palate a generous start, before those savoury, grainy tannins begin to take over. There’s a lovely black tea character through the finish, with a subtle cardamom spice adding extra interest.
Despite all that richness, there’s enough acidity to keep it fresh and balanced. A really characterful red with plenty going on, and one that keeps you coming back for another sip.
