A beautiful expression of classic McLaren Vale Grenache, with plenty of old-world charm but still loads of bright, generous fruit. Raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate lead the way, with rose petals, blood orange, Turkish delight and that lovely savoury mix of herbs, chorizo and sweet paprika adding real complexity.
The palate is rich and expressive without becoming heavy, with soft, supple texture wrapped around vibrant red fruit. There’s plenty of flavour here, but it still retains that medium-bodied elegance that makes great Grenache so appealing. A seriously classy McLaren Vale Grenache from S.C.
