7.5% ABV, 28 IBU. On its own a Wee Heavy (Scotch Ale) is a rich, malt driven beer. We decided to layer that with the complex flavour profile that is obtained by aging in Australian Whiskey barrels. Over four months the caramel and dark fruit characters of the Wee Heavy blended with the beautiful woody and whiskey flavours of the barrels giving a truly delicious result. Released in Spring 2025 we named this beer after the Celtic Goddess Danu, a Goddess of fertility, wisdom and nature.
